Gaonou Yang is a rising third-year student studying political science at Stanford University. She is passionate about education policy and racial disparities within education. Previously, Gaonou served as the High School Outreach Coordinator for the Stanford Hmong Student Union, where she led college preparatory programs and advocated for marginalized communities in higher education. She aspires to work in government with a focus on education. Outside of her academic pursuits, Gaonou enjoys reading, thrifting, and making matcha.
