Ishita Ahmed is a postdoctoral scholar with the SCALE Initiative at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education. Her work examines how student–AI chat data can be used to measure curiosity, creativity, self-management, and other learning skills. She also evaluates randomized controlled trials of AI interventions designed to support student learning.
Her broader research focuses on developing and validating measures of children’s cognitive and learning skills and evaluating education programs using psychometric and experimental methods. Her prior work includes developing tablet-based measures of curiosity and creativity, culturally adaptable assessments of executive function, and item-level analyses of education interventions.
She earned a Ph.D. in International Comparative Education and Developmental and Psychological Sciences from Stanford University, an M.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the College of William & Mary.
