JP Martinez is a Senior Research Data Analyst on the Gen AI for Education Hub team. He is interested in leveraging technology for data-driven decision making in public policy spaces, with a particular interest in education, energy and competition policy. JP previously worked as a Research Associate for the Institute for Policy Integrity at the New York University School of Law building optimization models for expansion of generation and transmission resources in the U.S. electric market. Previously he worked as an economist for the Mergers Division of the Chilean Antitrust Agency analyzing the potential effects of proposed mergers in industries as telecommunications, retail, electricity markets, online delivery platforms among others.
JP holds a M.S. in computational and Public Policy from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Business and Economics from PUC Chile.
